The Ork Codex
Codex Orks is out today. Its fifty-four datasheets, fifteen detachments and the new Waaagh! replace the older book in Warmind. Lists built on the August preview carry straight over, and lists built on the older cards are told exactly what the new book changed.
The New Book
Fifty-four datasheets take over
The codex sheets replace the older Ork cards under the same entries, so the Codex heading is gone from the faction browser and from Add Unit. Nazdreg, the Runtherd and the Gunwagon are new to the roster. Every other codex sheet stands where its predecessor stood, with the codex statline, weapons and abilities.
Enhancement names follow the field manual
Ferocious Show Off, Supa-glowy Fing and Surly as a Squiggoth use the Munitorum Field Manual's spelling. A preview list that saved the other spelling lands on the right enhancement with its points.
To Legends
Wurrboy, the Kustom Boosta-Blasta, the Shokkjump Dragsta, the Megatrakk Scrapjet and the Boomdakka Snazzwagon retire to Legends beside Lootas and Burna Boyz, and keep their sheets there. The Gargantuan Squiggoth stays a current unit, since the field manual still prices it. Points are unchanged from the 2 September update.
Your Saved Lists
A preview list opens as it was
Units, points and detachment all carry over, and the Collection shelf already counted a preview sheet and the card it replaced as one row.
An older list is told what changed
A list naming a detachment the codex retired (More Dakka!, Freebooter Krew, Speedwaaagh!, Rollin' Deff) shows an error on the roster saying its rules, stratagems and enhancements have stopped applying. A saved pick the new sheet no longer offers, such as a Battlewagon's deff rolla or killkannon, a Boss Nob's kombi-weapon or a Breaka Boyz smash hammer, goes back to the default loadout with the points recalculated, and a warning names the unit and the wargear.
Battle Mode
No more vanishing sheets
The round screens draw their own popups instead of asking the phone for a window, so a picker or a rules sheet can no longer disappear while ignoring every touch. The same rule now covers the army sheet, the Battle Setup pickers, the update notice and the rest of the app. Two of them never open over each other.
Cards swipe away on Android
The grabber on a locked sheet takes the drag it shows, so the seven rules sheets swipe closed and reopen from their row.
Round-start rules reach the second player
A rule that fires at the start of a battle round, Mortarion's Hammer among forty-seven of them, was only offered to the player who went first. Both players get theirs now.
Defend Stronghold stays out of round one
The opening hand goes through the same shuffle as every later draw, a hand-drawn game refuses the card in round one, and the picker greys it.
Death Guard choose their Plague
The army rule's Plague picker and the Champions of Contagion re-pick are in, and a later Plague retires the earlier one.
Logan Grimnar's second Hunting Pack
Howling Onslaught lets a Space Wolves list with Grimnar on the battlefield pick a Hunting Pack it has already used, once per battle, so the Saga of the Great Wolf picker no longer closes after three Command phases. The repeat is marked as one on the phone and the web.
An accepted tally brings the breakdown with it
Accepting a linked opponent's score now carries both sides' primary by round and each side's secondaries, so the battle report adds up. The report's matchup rows open the lists that were played, and the record keeps your own list as played beside the opponent's, so editing or deleting the roster later costs the report nothing.
Lists And Datasheets
A full pick-one pool offers every alternative
A ten-model Paladin Squad with four special weapons could not swap its incinerators back out once the pool was full. Both editors now read the room the way the engine does, so any alternative can be taken again.
Officers say how many Orders they issue
Sixteen Astra Militarum officers print their Orders line again, and seventy-nine rules that cards print beside the ability block return across nineteen factions.
Faction abilities reach eight more sheets
Code Chivalric on every Imperial Knight, Assigned Agents and Kill Team on the Imperial Agents, and the four daemon pacts on the cult legions now sit on the units whose cards print them.
A buff for the bearer's unit reaches the whole unit
The Destroyer Ankh's move, the banners and Vexillas, and the rules that hold while a leader leads apply to every model in the unit. A buff written for the bearer alone stays with the bearer.
Leaders lead what their card says
A Lord on Juggernaut with Disciple of Khorne can lead Bloodcrushers and Flesh Hounds, as the card's Leader header and GW's FAQ say.
Squad leaders scale with the squad
Cadian Shock Troops, Catachan Jungle Fighters, Death Korps of Krieg, Jakhals, Atalan Jackals, Neurogaunts and Wolf Scouts field the sergeants, leaders or escorts their card pairs with the larger size, and a Renegade Ogryn pack can take the seven hounds it prices.
Smaller card corrections
The Norn Assimilator has its Harpoon Barbs back. The three Wolf Guard Pack Leaders carry their card's Warlord and Enhancement ban instead of a borrowed re-roll. Pink Horrors print their split note once, and four other sheets lose a doubled rule.
Detachment pairs the field manual no longer keeps apart
They can be taken together again, Mortarion's Hammer and Contagion Engines among them, within the detachment point budget.
Reading without a roster
A faction page lists each detachment's stratagems and enhancements on its own, and the unit pickers on the phone and the web show each weapon's keywords beside its numbers.
Threat Range
One mode at a time
A weapon with several profiles fires one of them per run, and Ballistic and Weapon Skill modifiers are capped at one step and dialled separately. The calculator also admits a leader's ability against the unit it leads, which brings six curated abilities into play.
The Horus Heresy
Hull kit is bolted on, not swapped in
A Dracosan carries its hunter-killer missile, searchlight and dozer blade together, and so does every other rack of independent fittings: seventy-two caps raised across twenty-three racks. The Mechanicum armoury lists on the magos sheets and the pintle weapons on eight Solar Auxilia tanks are pick-one, as printed, and the Dracosan and the Triaros carry their pair of hull hunter-killers.
Every army has its banner
The twelve Heresy armies that sat on a flat gradient have their art, so all thirty-one carry a banner.
Rules that hang on a condition ride the unit
A grant the book ties to a condition appears on the unit as a conditional rule, in the roster's own words. The Cenobium's Order Exemplars reminds its player in the Fight sub-phase now that its text says what the six Orders do.
Traits the sheets print
The Termite, the Contemptor-Osiron and the Militia's Gorgon and Malcador carry Smokescreen, and the Militia Rapier Troop its Rapier Crew and Support Unit traits.
The Heresy shelf
Collection works for the Age of Darkness too: shelf, picker, sheet import and export, a force that says what it owns and what is still to buy, and a Muster that spends the credits its own Command choices earn, reaching Elites, War-engines and Armour through the auxiliary and apex charts the print grants.

Your Collection
Warmind now keeps a record of the models you own. Set up your collection by faction, and every roster can tell you which units you can put on the table and which ones you still need to buy. The Ork points from the September field manual are in as well.
The Collection
Your models by datasheet
Collection is a new screen on HQ and on the Rosters tab, and a new page on the web. Pick a faction, then set how many models of each datasheet you own. One tap adds a box, the count can be typed, and the shelf shows totals by faction. Signed in, your collection syncs to your account the way your rosters do.
One kit counts everywhere
Models are counted by datasheet, not by army. Intercessors shelved under Blood Angels are Intercessors for an Ultramarines list, and a Rhino is a Rhino in every chapter. Codex preview entries share the shelf with the current sheet they stand in for.
Painted, built, on sprue
Every shelf row can track its painting progress: how many are painted, how many are built and waiting, and how many are still on the sprue, with a bar on the row and one across the whole shelf.
The wishlist
Any datasheet can go on a wishlist, from the picker or straight from a roster's still-to-buy list, and Got It moves a wish onto the shelf the day it arrives. The still-to-buy list itself can be shared as text.
What a shelf can field
Each faction shelf says how many points it can put on the table, and Muster turns that into a new list holding everything the shelf fields, at the sizes the models make and the copies the rules allow.
In and out as a spreadsheet
Export Sheet writes the collection as a .csv, and Import Sheet reads one back, including a sheet you already keep: any column order, a faction by name, a unit by the name you would search for, and every row it could not place listed by line.
Count by models or by units
A switch on the shelf and in the picker counts a squad either as models or as whole units of each size, so two fives and a ten of Intercessors can be entered as exactly that, with anything left over shown as loose. A character with attendants counts as one of itself: one Ghazghkull, one Silent King, one Twin Lance, never two or three models.
Rosters Read The Shelf
Track what you own
Once you have a collection, every unit in a roster says Owned, Need X more, or Not owned, drawn from your shelf in list order. A Collection panel above the units lists what is still to buy, with the models and points involved. The Owned switch in the units header turns the reading off and on.
Build from what you have
Add Unit gains an Owned switch that narrows the picker to datasheets in your collection, and every entry shows how many of its models you own. Turn it off to see the whole faction again.
The Ork Points Update
Field manual points on every Ork sheet
The Munitorum Field Manual moved to v1.4 on 2 September with the points for Codex Orks, and every current Ork datasheet and every Codex preview sheet now costs what it prints, repeat-unit prices included. Boyz are 90 for ten, the Warboss is 100, Ghazghkull is 300, the Painboy comes down to 45 and the Stompa is 700. Saved Ork lists recalculate on open, and a list that drifted over its limit tells you so.
Wargear with a price tag
A killsaw or twin killsaws on Meganobz, paired krumpas on Codex Nobz and the Gunwagon's zzap gun each carry the field manual's cost, and the configurator charges them the moment you fit them. The Battlewagon's 'ard case no longer costs anything.
New Units Heading To Legends
Lootas and Burna Boyz are Legends now and are priced there, and Warbuggies return as a regular unit at 70 for one and 130 for two. The older Ork sheets the field manual no longer lists keep their previous points, so a casual list still totals. No other faction's points changed in v1.4; the one list-building change elsewhere is that Apothecaries can now support a Bladeguard Veteran Squad.
Also This Week
Battle Mode
In a Pass and Play game each player chooses Fixed or Tactical secondary missions and whether to draw with real cards, so one side can play Fixed while the other draws. In a linked game the phase panel lists what your opponent can play this phase: their stratagems on their turn, their reactions on yours. A primary scoring window with nothing left to pay now says so instead of showing a frozen total.
Lists in and out
Rosterizer .regiztry files import on the Rosters screen alongside BattleScribe .ros and .rosz files. Lists export for Yellowscribe, as the file it uploads or as the code the Tabletop Simulator mod asks for. Log a Game Played Elsewhere records Doubles 2v2 games with both partners, counted under Doubles in Statistics.
Rules
A keyword granted by an enhancement now reaches the rules that apply to it, so a Destroyer Ankh Overlord in a Cursed Legion army gets Cold Fervour.

The Ork Codex, Early
The new Ork codex reaches shelves on 5 September. Its fifty-four datasheets and fifteen detachments are in Warmind now, sitting beside the current Ork entries instead of replacing them, so you can read the new book, build with it and play it before it arrives. Every list you have already saved opens exactly as you left it.
Reading The New Book
Fifty-four datasheets, in their own section
The codex sheets appear in the faction browser and in Add Unit under a Codex heading of their own, below the current entries. Nazdreg, the Bannernob, the Bigboss, the Big Mek Dakkarig and the Wartrakks join the roster, the Kustom Boosta-Blasta and Boomdakka Snazzwagon combine into a single Warbuggies sheet, and everything else carries its new profile, weapons and abilities.
The new Waaagh!, on the sheets that have it
A codex datasheet prints the codex wording, not the current one, so a codex datasheet reads the way the codex reads: riled up units get a 5+ invulnerable save, their shooting counts as Assault, and they can charge after advancing. Psyker levels come back with it, and tapping a weapon keyword explains the conditional forms the new book uses.
Building And Playing It
Taking a codex detachment is the switch
All fifteen detachments are here, from the three point War Horde down to the fourteen single point packages: Green Tide, Bully Boyz, Runt Swarm, Shoota Boyz, Dread Mob, Blitz Brigade, Taktikal Brigade, Wreckas, Da Big Hunt, Madcap Meks, Kult of Speed, Flyboyz, Brute Bosses and Wurrband. Choose one and your army plays the codex army rules under their own names. Choose a current detachment and nothing changes.
Battle Mode knows the new rules
The codex stratagems and enhancements reach the screens that use them, the Command phase asks the Waaagh! question once for the army you actually brought, and the phase reminders fire off the new datasheets. Brute Bosses and Wurrband trade their stratagems for a longer enhancement list, and Warmind offers them that way because that is how the detachments are written.
Warmind Is On The App Store
The iPhone and iPad app is out of beta
Warmind is now on the App Store as a public release, so an iOS install no longer goes through TestFlight. If you joined the beta, the App Store version installs over the top of it and your rosters, battles and settings stay where they are.

Every Army of the Heresy
The Age of Darkness roster grows from nineteen army lists to all twenty-nine, and the full Horus Heresy builder arrives on the web. Muster the Mechanicum, march a Knight Household, or field the Emperor's own, in the browser or in your pocket, priced and validated by the same engine either way.
Ten New Army Lists
The rest of the war arrives
Mechanicum Taghmata, Solar Auxilia, Legio Custodes, Anathema Psykana, Divisio Assassinorum, Knights-Errant, Blackshields, Daemons of the Ruinstorm, Questoris Familia and Legio Titanicus join the muster. Every list builds on its own printed chart with its own units, ranks and rules.
Knight Households work the way the book says
A Questoris army musters on prime Lord of War slots, and the Household Rank a knight takes unlocks its retinues: a Scion Aspirant opens the Armiger Talon, a Preceptor the Automata Talon, a Scion Martial the Support Banner and a Lord Scion the Yeomanry Mesnie.
The Heresy on the Web
The full builder, in the browser
warmind.online/builder now speaks both game systems. Browse every Age of Darkness datasheet, forge a force, configure squads model by model, swear Rites of War and Prime Advantages, and export or import the same list format the app uses. Signing in carries a force built while signed out into your account.
Rules Fixes
Rites of War and the Warlord pool
An army now swears its legion's rules package where corrupted variants exist, and loyal traitor legions no longer fight under the wrong one. The 25% Warlord and Lords of War pool follows the printed cap clause, so a Knight Household can fill its own chart legally.
The ammunition the cards promise
A Rapier battery's quad launchers can take phosphex canister shot and the Arquitor Bombard its phosphex shells, priced as printed. Both picks say what they need: a Siege Breaker with the same Faction Trait in the army, and the force flags the pick loudly until one is mustered.

The August Balance Update
The official August balance update landed this morning: new points across the game and rules updates for nineteen factions. It's all in Warmind as of this release, so the list you build tonight is priced and worded the way your opponent's fresh download says it should be.
Points
Every new price, in every list
Around 170 costs moved across 24 factions, and your rosters already total with the new numbers: Leman Russ tanks are cheaper across the whole family, Aeldari Aspect support and Guardians came down, Necron Destroyers went up, and Imperial Agents rose almost across the board. Six Enhancements changed price too. Saved lists recalculate on open, and a list that drifted over its points limit tells you so.
Sponsons now carry their own price tags
The update moved part of the Leman Russ cost into its guns: the hull lascannon and each sponson pair are now priced upgrades on top of a cheaper tank, and the configurator charges them the moment you fit them. Repeat-unit pricing also reached more datasheets, so an Allarus Custodians or Vertus Praetors spam list pays the printed premium for the third copy onward.
Five detachments changed their mission profile
Lions of the Emperor, Tharanatoi Hammerblow, Aspect Host, Daemonic Incursion and Huron's Marauders all carry a new Force Disposition. The primary-mission reference on your roster and Battle Mode's mission scoring both follow the new assignments.
Rules Updates
Adepta Sororitas, rewritten where it counts
Miracle dice now arrive at the start of every turn rather than every battle round, which doubles the flow of the army rule. Celestian Insidiants and Celestian Sacresants gained the CELESTIAN keyword, Champions of Faith and Sacred Champions were rewritten around it, Divine Intervention returns a single destroyed Character model, and Saint Celestine's Healing Tears now restores one Geminae Superia each Command phase.
Support characters, as printed
The Visarch, the Warlock Conclave, Warlock Skyrunners, Masters of the Maelstrom, the Ravenwing Command Squad and the Cybernetica Datasmith are now Support attachers rather than Leaders, exactly as the updated cards read. The Datasmith also becomes a VEHICLE that walks as INFANTRY when no Kastelan Robots are with it, and Wardens of Ultramar attach through the standard Support rule.
Heldrakes come down to perch
All four Heldrakes lose AIRCRAFT and fly at 12" with an Objective Control of 0, so they play by normal movement rules now. The Chaos Rhino's havoc launcher can be fitted alongside the combi-bolter or in place of it, and the configurator offers both fits.
Dozens of ability and stratagem rewrites
Astra Militarum's Recon Element now grants Stealth army-wide, Death Guard's Skullsquirm Blight punishes ranged attackers as well as melee, Blitz Brigade's Mekanised Brutality performs a true assault disembark, Space Wolves' Old Greymanes splits Grey Hunters evenly, the Monolith's Eternity Gate states its full reach, the Norn Assimilator's harpoon drags Monsters and Vehicles into charges, and the Stonesinger's Venomcrest Spit fires as a true Torrent. The Serpent's Brood and Ghosts of the Webway muster boxes now appear on their detachments, including the new Harlequin Warlord allowance and the three-of-each allowance for Harlequin leaders.
Legends flyers shed FRAME
The update removed the FRAME keyword from 46 Legends flyers across ten factions, and the datasheets follow suit. Where a card kept it, so do we.
Threat Range
The calculator moved with the rules
Every rewritten rule that changes the maths was re-encoded: Righteous Purpose reaches the Insidiants, Holy Quest covers all CELESTIAN units, Masters of Camouflage models its new army-wide Stealth, and Skullsquirm Blight applies its new cover penalty against ranged attacks. What you toggle is what the new text says.

The Horus Heresy Arrives
Warmind now speaks two game systems. The Age of Darkness lands in open beta: every legion, full army building, a battle tracker built for reactions, and a Threat Range calculator that knows the 30k tables. The first time you open the app after this update it will ask which system you want to muster in first, and you can cross over any time from the bottom of the HQ.
A Second Game System
Choose where you muster
On your first launch after updating, a chooser asks whether you play the 41st millennium, the Heresy, or both. It asks exactly once. Your 11th edition rosters, battles and stats are untouched either way, and the new Game System section at the bottom of the HQ switches between the two whenever you like.
Nothing to download unless you want it
The 30k datasheets fetch once when you first enter the Heresy, about six megabytes, and work fully offline after that. If you never enter, the app changes nothing.
The Age of Darkness, In Beta
All eighteen legions, every datasheet
329 datasheets across the legions and the shared Legiones Astartes list, with the full 30k profile: fourteen characteristics, melee weapons that modify their bearer, and vehicles with armour facings and hull points. Loyalist and traitor, with legion-specific wargear appearing where your legion unlocks it.
Army building the 30k way
Forces are built as detachments: your Crusade Primary with its prime slots, auxiliaries and apex detachments earned as you go, allied contingents with their own limits, and a Lord of War when the game is big enough. Points, warlord pools and allowances are tracked against the printed prices, including the legion armoury lists.
Your legion colours the whole wing
Choose or forge a force and every Heresy screen takes on that legion’s banner and accent, the same way your active force themes the rest of the app. The force you are working on is always marked, and switching is one tap in My Forces.
Lists travel as text
Export any force as plain text that reads like a list and survives chat apps, and import one back in the same format. Prices and picks re-check against the data on the way in, so a pasted list tells you honestly what it costs.
The eighteen legions first
The beta opens with the Legiones Astartes. The Mechanicum, the Legio Custodes, the Solar Auxilia and the rest of the Age of Darkness are on the road map and will arrive when they are ready to be released.
Battle Mode For 30k
A tracker built around reactions
The Heresy battle screen deals in the things 30k actually asks you to remember: your reaction allotment each turn and which windows are open, statuses like Pinned and Routed with the checks that clear them, challenges and gambits, psychic powers with their willpower arithmetic, and the vehicle damage table with facings and hull points. Four battle turns, scored to the mission with its secondaries.
Solo or linked
Track a game on one phone, or link with your opponent so both phones stay in step, the same live machinery the 11th edition tracker uses.
Threat Range For 30k
The calculator knows the Heresy tables
A dedicated Threat Range for the Age of Darkness: pick any unit and weapon, pick a target, and read expected hits, wounds and hull points straight from the printed to-hit ladder, weapon skill matrix and wound chart. Vehicles resolve by facing, and the special rules that change the maths are modelled, from Breaching and Rending to Deflagrate and Melta, with toggles for snap shots, standing still, charging and being outnumbered. Every datasheet has a Simulate button that drops the unit straight in.

Doubles, Properly: Two Players, One Force
A doubles side is now one player in every way that matters. Both partners get their own stratagems, spend from the same command points and tick off their own abilities, on their own phone. Solo tracking became real pass-and-play, long abilities are readable at a glance, and a stack of list-building fixes came with it.
Doubles
Your partner is a player, not a spectator
The second person on a side used to be able to watch and nothing else. Now their phone shows their own army's stratagems next to their partner's, marked so you can tell whose is whose, and spending one comes out of the pair's shared command points. Their units' reminders appear for them each phase, and they can declare their own once-per-battle abilities. Whichever of you presses it, both phones agree it is spent.
A side is named as a pair
Scores, turn banners, the battle log and the shared image now name both players on a side rather than whoever happened to be holding the tracker. If neither of you has set a display name, your list names are used.
Join a room by typing the code
The room screen always said the other players could type the code, but only the browser could. Now any phone can, which matters if your camera is awkward or you have not given the app permission to use it.
Getting seated stopped going wrong
Several things could put a four-player room into a state it could not get out of. Agreeing with your partner about who goes first is no longer read as an argument with your opponent. The confirmation screen names all four armies from everyone's point of view. If your app restarts mid-game you come back to your seat with your own stratagems still in it, instead of being offered a fresh battle. And two people on the same side can no longer end up running two separate games by accident.
Cards that name a unit can name any of the four
Secondary missions that ask you to pick one of your units were only offering half the force. Your partner's units are on the list now.
Everyone agrees on the game size
If one phone in the room is set to a different points limit, the setup screen says so. Before, that phone quietly used its own number, called a perfectly legal list illegal and budgeted the wrong detachment points.
One Phone, Two Players
Pass and play works the way you would expect
Tracking a game on a single phone now follows the turn. On your opponent's turn the screen offers their stratagems and their reminders, and anything spent or declared is recorded against them. Before, it always showed the phone owner's side, so the person you handed it to got an empty panel on their own turn. Both players' reactions are on screen at once, since you are both looking at the same phone.
Reading Rules
Long abilities are laid out like printed rules
Abilities that are really several rules in one paragraph now break into paragraphs, with each named part in bold and keywords in small capitals, so you can find the part you need without reading the whole block. Nothing is reworded: every word is the one that was there before, only set out to be read. This applies everywhere rules text appears, including datasheets, rosters and battle mode.
Lists and Datasheets
Wargear that would not come back
A long pass over every unit's options found a number of squads whose choices did not match their datasheet: weapons you could not reach at all, options that could never be changed once picked, models appearing or disappearing when you swapped kit, and a few units that started with gear their card does not give them. Loadouts also now survive a trip out to text and back unchanged.
Saved lists keep their choices
Where a fix changed how a choice is stored, existing rosters are carried across rather than quietly reset.

Threat Range: Know the Fight Before You Take It
A combat calculator built into Warmind, on your phone and in the browser. Pick two units and it tells you what is likely to happen, with every buff you could bring as a switch you turn on yourself.
Threat Range
Will this unit kill that one?
Pick your unit, pick what it is shooting at or fighting, and Threat Range gives you the damage to expect, how many models should die, and the chance you wipe the unit off the table. Shooting and the fight phase both. You will find it on the HQ screen and in the web builder.
Switch on the buffs you would really use
Your army rule, your detachment rule, your stratagems, your enhancements and the unit's own abilities are all there as switches. Turn on what you would actually spend at the table and watch the number move. Nothing is applied unless you ask for it, so what you see is your plan and not a best case. Where a rule only works against certain targets, Threat Range checks the defender for you.
See where the number came from
Open the breakdown and every weapon shows its working, step by step: how many attacks, how many hit, how many wound, what got saved, what got through. If a rule changed one of those steps it is named right there. Anything the calculator is assuming is listed, and if a rule is too complicated for it to model, it says so rather than pretending it counted.
Use it in the middle of a game
There is a Threat Range button on the battle round screen. It opens with both armies already loaded, so working out whether the charge is worth it takes a couple of taps.
Trust the maths
Where it can, Threat Range works out the exact odds rather than guessing, and where a rule is too tangled for that it runs the fight many thousands of times. Every answer is checked against results worked out by hand before it ships, and we compared it against another well known calculator to make sure we agree.

Share the List, Find the Rule
Your army list becomes a picture your phone draws itself. Search reads ability text and tells you which ability it matched. Round scoring you can go back and adjust. Patch notes inside the app, a mission reference on every roster, and Daemon Princes that finally get to pick a god.
Share Your Army List as a Picture
A list worth showing someone
Share now offers a proper sheet: the faction banner under a duotone, bracket-cornered panels, role rules and points in your faction's accent, attached families boxed with the unit they joined, and a scan-to-import code in the footer, so the picture itself is a working share code. Your phone draws it and hands it straight to the share sheet as an image. On the web builder the same sheet opens as an A4 print page you can save as a PDF, and every list gets a shareable link.
Search That Reads the Rules
Search finds abilities, not just names
Asked for by a beta tester. Datasheets, Add Unit, the faction browser and the army builder now search the full text of a datasheet: names, keywords, ability names and their rules text, and weapon abilities. Search "objective marker" or "deep strike" and you get the units that actually do it. The army builder gains a search of its own once a list passes eight units.
Every result tells you why it matched
A hit whose name has nothing to do with what you typed is just confusing, so each row now carries the ability, keyword or weapon that matched, in your faction's accent, beneath the name. Name matches stay quiet, because the row already explains itself. On mobile and on the web.
Battle Rounds
Go back a round, keep what you scored
The back button beside the round header now steps back a whole round instead of a phase. A finished round opens with its primary and secondary scores intact and adjustable up or down, so remembering an objective you missed is a couple of taps rather than re-entering the round from zero. Moving forward again through a round you have already scored no longer reopens the scoring screen, and phases themselves now only run forwards.
Mission Reference
Every primary mission your list can be drawn into
A new Primary Missions button at the foot of the army builder. Your Force Disposition against each of the five an opponent might bring, with the mission's full scoring card under each, and the mission they would be playing, because outside the mirror you are not scoring the same card as your opponent. You only find out their disposition at the table, so the useful thing beforehand is the whole row. Army Rules folds shut by default to make room, keeping its rule names on the header.
Chaos Daemons
Daemon Princes swear an allegiance
Daemonic Allegiance is now a choice on the unit (Khorne, Tzeentch, Nurgle or Slaanesh), marked required until you make it, because the datasheet says you must. The keyword it grants reaches the enhancement list, the keyword line, army validation and the text export, so a Plague Legion Prince can finally take its own detachment's relics. Six datasheets have it: the Daemon Prince of Chaos and the Heretic Astartes Daemon Prince, each with and without wings, plus Furies, the Spined Chaos Beast and the Giant Chaos Spawn. The Soul Grinder takes its keyword from the god-gun it carries.
…and the god changes its numbers
Swear to Khorne and the hellforged weapons gain 2 Strength while the infernal cannon is left alone. Tzeentch adds 3 Attacks to the cannon and nothing to the blades. Nurgle is +1 Toughness, Slaanesh +2" Move. The datasheet moves as you pick.
Asked For By The Beta
Patch notes, in the app
This page now lives on your phone, on its own header button between the bug and account chips. It is generated from the website, so the two can never tell you different things about what shipped.
Rosters grouped by faction
My Rosters groups your lists by faction with only your active force open, and the active-force picker follows the same order, so a list sits in the same place whichever way you reach it. With the faction in the heading, each card spends that room naming the detachments it runs instead.
Datasheets carries your detachment and army rule
The Datasheets tab gained the detachment itself, its rules with its stratagems folded underneath, and ends with your faction's army rule and the reference tables that deliberately never repeat on a unit card: Rituals, Orders, Blessings. Until now those could only be read by browsing the faction or starting a battle.
The Battle Archive
Archived armies open as army sheets
Each side of an archived battle now has a faction-art banner that opens the full army sheet (role groups, stat chips, warlord and enhancement tags), the same sheet Battle Mode shows. Two things you can do with someone else's army are on it: Export hands you a text file, and Copy takes it into your own rosters as a real, editable list and makes it your active force.

Every List Ever Played
A public archive of the armies behind every logged battle: both lists, both detachments, what each side scored. Plus Doubles setup rebuilt, Warlord restrictions the app had never enforced, and a fix for the C'tan.
The Battle Archive
See what people are actually bringing
Statistics has a new Battles tab. Every game finished in Battle Mode now shows up there with the army lists that fought it: every unit, its size, its wargear, the enhancements, who held the Warlord, plus each side's detachment, Force Disposition and final score. Filter by format, faction or points. Aggregate win rates tell you Necrons are doing well; this tells you what the Necron player took.
Casual games stay anonymous
No name is stored on a casual battle at all. Not hidden, not stored. Names appear only on games played in an organized event, where the pairing is already public on the bracket. That rule is enforced by the database rather than the app, so it holds no matter what any client sends.
Your list is stored once, however often you play it
Each list is identified by its own contents, so taking the same army through a six-round tournament records it once rather than six times, and the entry you played stays as it was even after you go on editing the roster. It also means a list you play before making an account is recognised as yours when you do, so nothing is stranded and nothing is uploaded twice.
Doubles
Setting up a partner, properly
Both partner seats now offer the same two buttons the opponent has always had: Scan QR or Fill In. One tap, one outcome. The opponent's partner used to be a single row that sometimes opened the scanner and sometimes the form, which read as broken because it was.
Team rules that span both armies
A Doubles team has one Warlord between the two lists, so bringing two models that each demand the role (Guilliman and Shadowsun, say) is now called out as unsatisfiable before you start, naming which one has to come out.
Warlord Restrictions
The C'tan can't be your Warlord
Reported by a beta tester, and it was never only the C'tan. Ten datasheets across five factions forbid the model being your Warlord: all four C'tan Shards, Deathleaper, Murderfang, Lukas the Trickster, the Sydonian Skatros, the Cyberwolf and the Exalted Flamer. Every one of them was being offered the role anyway. The Cyberwolf, Exalted Flamer and Transcendent C'tan were also being offered Enhancements they can't take. Where the button used to be, the app now says which rule forbids it. Tyranids' Vanguard Onslaught still frees Deathleaper, as printed.
…and Supreme Commanders have to be
The opposite rule was equally unenforced. Nine models (Guilliman, Cawl, Thulia Ghuld, Lord Solar Leontus, Fulgrim, Kaldor Draigo, Ghazghkull, Shadowsun and the Patriarch) must be your Warlord whenever they're in the list, and a list with one of them sitting behind a Captain raised no complaint at all. Two of them together is impossible rather than merely wrong, which Adeptus Mechanicus can actually field, and that is now flagged too.
Accounts & Lists
Display names are no longer optional
Too many accounts had none, which showed up as a blank everywhere a person should be: on a shared army, on an organizer's bracket. If yours is missing you'll be asked once, on your next sign-in. You can change it whenever you like in Account.
The roster list says something useful
Every list said "11e", which is true of all of them and told you nothing. That space now shows which detachments the list actually runs, the thing that tells two armies of the same faction apart.
Terrain
Eight layouts redrawn
Eight of the official terrain layouts had pieces in the wrong place: wrong orientation, wrong side of a ruin, overlapping something they shouldn't. Thirty-one placements were corrected against the current Event Companion.

Now We Can Answer You
Report a bug and you'll get a reply in the app the moment it's fixed, without restarting. Plus a run of unit and rules corrections, including leaders that are allowed to share a squad.
Bug Reporting
Every report gets a reference
Sending a report now returns a short code (something like WM-4F2A) shown on the confirmation screen and attached to the report on our side. It gives your report a name, so a follow-up can point at exactly the one you mean.
We can reply straight into your app, in real time
When your report is dealt with, a notice appears in Warmind with the code, your own words quoted back, and a note explaining what changed. It arrives the moment the fix is marked, not on the next restart, so if the app is open you'll simply see it turn up. If it's closed, it's waiting the next time you open it.
Only if you asked
There's a "tell me when this is fixed" tick box when you report while signed in, and it is honoured. Untick it and you'll hear nothing back. Reports sent without an account can't be replied to this way, so the form says so up front rather than promising something it can't deliver. Nobody ever sees anyone else's report.
Units & Rules
Leaders that can share a squad
Some characters are allowed to join a unit that already has a leader, and Warmind was refusing all of them. Death Guard were worst hit: the Biologus Putrifier, Foul Blightspawn, Plague Surgeon, Tallyman, Icon Bearer and Noxious Blightbringer can all ride along with another leader on a Plague Marine squad. The Visarch, Eldrad Ulthran and Cato Sicarius were blocked the same way, along with a number of Legends characters. The limits still apply exactly as printed: a third character is refused, and duplicates stay out.
Thousand Sons stratagems reach the Rubricae
Rubric Marines and Scarab Occult Terminators carry a sorcerer, which makes the unit a PSYKER unit, but that keyword was being dropped, so the stratagems built around it were never offered. Seventeen of them now appear on Rubric Marines and sixteen on Scarab Occult Terminators. Six other units across Aeldari, Chaos, Astra Militarum, Space Marines and Votann were missing it for the same reason. The datasheet names which model actually carries the keyword, so it doesn't read as though the whole squad are psykers.
Stratagems stop appearing on units that can't use them
A card reading "one Ynnari Infantry or Ynnari Mounted unit" was being treated as though any of those keywords would do, so it offered on every Aeldari infantry unit in the army. Thirty stratagems across sixteen factions had the same fault: Stormlance's Ride Hard, Ride Fast turned up on any vehicle at all, and Lion's Blade's Deathwing stratagems on all sixty-two Dark Angels datasheets. Roughly 680 wrong offers are gone; three units gained a stratagem they should always have had.
Baneblade sponsons, counted properly
The whole super-heavy family (Baneblade, Hellhammer, Stormlord, Shadowsword and the rest) was doubling the hull twin heavy bolter and leaving the two lascannons every one of them carries out of the base loadout entirely. Sponson pairs now count as pairs, single guns as singles, and the extra sponson set reads "2 lascannons and 2 twin heavy bolters" as the datasheet writes it.
Clearer loadouts
In the unit configurator, fixed wargear is now grouped together above the weapons you choose, instead of being sorted in among them. On the Baneblade the hull bolter looked like one of the sponson options. The attach picker also tells you when a unit is already carrying as many leaders as it can, rather than suggesting you add one you have already got.

Imports Repaired & Bug Reporting
Imported lists now carry the weapons you actually chose, and you can send a bug straight to the developer from inside the app, screenshots included.
Importing
Imported units keep their real loadouts
Lists imported from any source (other army builders, BattleScribe files, or Warmind's own exports) were falling back to default weapons for a large share of units. Squads whose options are separate model entries, like Blightlord Terminators with their heavy weapons, now rebuild exactly as written: the right models, the right guns, the right count. Attached leaders, enhancements and detachments come across as before.
No more phantom wargear
A squad's standard-issue kit is no longer mistaken for optional upgrades during an import, so units stop arriving with gear they never had. Every datasheet in the game was round-tripped through export and import to confirm nothing drifts.
Bug Reporting
Report a bug without leaving Warmind
Tap the new bug icon in the app header (or beside Settings), or the Report button in the web builder's top bar. Choose Bug, Data issue or Suggestion, describe it, and optionally leave a Discord handle or email. Your platform, app version and current screen ride along automatically so it can be reproduced, and reports go straight to the developer.
Attach screenshots
Add up to three images to any report, including animated GIFs, with thumbnails you can remove before sending. The confirmation tells you exactly how many attachments arrived. On phones, screenshots are picked through the file browser for now. Picking straight from your camera roll arrives with the next app store release.

The Battle Command Update
A major pass over Battle Mode: smarter card choices, army rules that fire on time, redesigned army sheets, and faster roster building. App updates apply automatically the next time you restart; the web builder is already live.
Battle Mode
Battles no longer stall on card choices
Card choices, swap offers, rule pickers and reminders now open strictly one at a time. This fixes battles that could lock up after answering a choice at the start of a turn, and a separate Android crash that could blank the app when changing rounds.
The right player makes every pick
Cards whose rules hand a decision to your opponent (Marked for Death targets, A Tempting Target's objective) now route to their device in linked play. In solo play you record both sides' picks yourself, and choice popups that can't be answered yet no longer block the battle.
Burden of Trust, on the map
Assign guards by tapping the objective map. Numbered markers match the guard list, each unit can guard one objective, and tapping an assigned unit again clears it. Attached units now count as the single unit they are here, and in Marked for Death and Beacon, so picking the leader brings the whole unit.
Every army rule, on time
The timing of every army and detachment rule was audited. Oath of Moment and over a dozen other rules get their own pickers, mandatory actions like Reanimation Protocols pop a reminder at the right moment, and stratagem buttons grey out when they're not legal, New Orders included, which now waits for your Command phase.
Battle Setup
Who is Defender?
Record the roll-off at setup. It's saved with the battle report, and your stats now split win rates as attacker versus defender.
Armies at a glance
Both full army lists are viewable straight from setup behind faction-art buttons, and Battle Ready now starts checked. Untick it if the army isn't painted.
Army Lists
Redesigned army sheets
The in-battle army list got a full redesign: faction banner art, accent theming, stat chips, warlord tags and attached-unit grouping. On the web builder, the battle screen now shows both armies side by side with core stratagems, army rules and detachments open for reading alongside.
Roster Building
One-tap weapon swaps
Units with split weapon pools get an ALL button per option: switch the whole squad in one tap instead of twenty, then still fine-tune with plus and minus. Squads also keep your chosen weapons when you resize them or toggle wargear.
Enhancements by the book
Enhancement and upgrade selection now enforces the full official rules everywhere (character restrictions, uniqueness, detachment matching and upgrade limits), including on imported lists.
Datasheet corrections
Terminator Assault Squad storm-shield wounds, the Space Wolves Venerable Dreadnought's greataxe and blizzard shield loadout, Canoptek fixes, datasheets that host two Leaders, and more.
